Day 1: Tuesday (D)
Board the ‘Spirit of the Outback’ at Roma St Station Brisbane for a scheduled departure of 6.25pm. Check-in to your 1st Class sleeper for your journey through the Central West. Enjoy cosy dining in the themed Tuckerbox Restaurant, and a quiet drink and chat with your fellow travellers in the club and lounge cars. |

Day 2: Wednesday (B,L,D)
You will be met on arrival in Longreach by your Coach Captain then transferred to your motel for dinner and briefing. Overnight Longreach. |

Day 3: Thursday (B,L,D)
Depart Longreach for Cloncurry visiting the famous Blue Heeler Hotel and the Crocodile Dundee Walkabout Creek Hotel. We also explore the John Flynn Memorial before overnighting in Cloncurry. |

Day 4: Friday (B,L,D)
Travelling north, via Burke & Wills roadhouse, we cross the Flinders River to rendezvous with the famous Gulflander rail journey. Board at Critters Camp for a journey through the Gulf Savannah bushland. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Lily Lagoon then travel to Normanton Railway Station Museum. Discover the Big Crocodile and Purple Pub, before continuing on to Karumba for a “fisherman’s catch” dinner, over-looking the Gulf of Carpentaria. Overnight Karumba. |

Day 5: Saturday (B,L,D)
Today we visit the Barramundi Discovery Centre before we spend the afternoon on the ‘Croc and Crab’ port of Karumba cruise. End your day with the ultimate seafood at sunset. Overnight Karumba.

Day 6: Sunday (B,L,D)
Departing Karumba we visit the gold mining heritage town of Croydon, then travel east to Georgetown’s Terrestrial Centre, featuring the Elliott Mineral Collection. Travel on to Cobbold Gorge for a two night stay. |

Day 7: Monday (B,L,D)
Experience an unforgettable morning cruise in Cobbold Gorge. Visit Corbett’s Pioneer Grave and take an escarpment walk to enjoy breathtaking Gorge views and spot fresh water crocodiles. The afternoon features a station tour amongst incredible geology and operational challenges. |

Travel to Forsayth and embark on the Savannahlander for the most scenic section of this whole rail journey. Explore the Copperfield Gorge and lunch at Einasleigh. Overnight Bedrock Village at Mt Surprise. |

Day 9: Wednesday (B,L,D)
Today meet some of the local characters at Rocky Springs Cattle Station. Explore the Undara Lava Tubes, one of the longest lava flows in the world, prior to lunch in an amazing bush setting. Fun farewell awards dinner and campfire sing-along at Bedrock Village. |

Day 10 – Thursday (B,L,D)
Travel to Greenvale, famous for its old Nickel Mine and Slim Dusty’s song. Enjoy lunch at Harvey’s Range before heading down to Townsville for your mid afternoon departure on The Sunlander (dinner own expense). |

Arrive at Roma St Station Brisbane, after the most amazing contrasts that you could ever imagine at an enjoyable pace. |
